WILLIE NELSON’S 4th OF JULY PICNIC
On Saturday, July 4th Luck is bringing Wille Nelson’s legendary 4th of July Picnic and all it’s raucous legacy straight to you. While we can't take it to Luck, TX as planned, team Luck remains dedicated to reviving the Picnic's raucous legacy - and is bringing it straight to the fans.
The 2020 Picnic will kick off with a series of live performances streamed directly from Luck and a BBQ cook-along with Chef Scott Roberts of Salt Lick; and will culminate with a special 90-minute concert film-style segment. The film will feature beloved acts alongside exclusive interviews with the characters that made the Picnic a one-of-a-kind celebration over its 47-year legacy.
Purchase your tickets directly, or receive them as part of one of our curated partner packages to complete your 4th of July celebration. Partner packages include: food and beverage delivery packages from Assembly Kitchen, Austin Food and Wine Alliance grant recipients, and Sourced Craft Cocktails.
What goes better than BBQ with Willie's Picnic? Not much, if you ask us. For a special edition of Luck's series Prime Cuts, we asked our friend Chef Scott Roberts from Salt Lick to share some of his tips from the pit and host a BBQ cook-along. He invited his buddy Ray Benson from Asleep at the Wheel to come out and cook with him, and play us a few tunes as well. We rounded it out with a drink from Jessica Sanders and our friends at Buffalo Trace. Tune in to see them make some great brisket, ribs, potato salad and coleslaw, and share a few stories from the pit as well. Join us for our, live cook-along event featuring exciting chefs, mixologists, and special musical guests.
Award-winning mixologist Jessica Sanders of drink.well plays with unconventional flavors in "Spring to Mind," a Buffalo Trace Bourbon cocktail with plenty of character. Fresh-pressed Cantaloupe Juice, Lemon, Campari, Coconut Syrup, and a dash of Sea Salt make a bold pairing with Texas barbecue.
